Passports

It is required that your travel documents/passports are valid for more than 6 months from your arrival date ~ be sure they are in order.

Airline Tickets

E-tickets on computer-printed plain paper, in black and white or color, is recognised by Indonesian immigration offices, be it in embassies, consulates or at immigration entry ports, they will readily accept e-tickets as proof of your onward travel.

Very important – your tickets must clearly state confirmed return dates, with no waiting lists or open dates, and the dates must be within your visa validity period. Exceptions may apply. It is highly recommended that your onward journey departs from Indonesian airports or from these regional airports:

  • Bangkok, Thailand ~ airport code BKK
  • Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam ~ airport code BWN
  • Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia ~ airport code KUL
  • Singapore, Singapore ~ airport code SIN

Ferry & Ship Tickets

Only original return tickets with clear return dates will be recognised by Indonesian immigration offices, though in many sea ports you may not be required to show return or onward journey. Proof of enough funds on hand might be more important. You can have flights as your onward journey, and as above, you must have flight legs departing from Indonesian airports or from regional airports.
